Papa’s Sushiria

Papa’s Sushiria is a restaurant management and cooking simulation game in the Papa Louie series. The story begins with the player character, either Matt, Clover, or a custom worker, winning a trip to Sakura Bay and a sneak peek of Papa Louie’s new sushi restaurant. However, upon leaving, the player accidentally breaks Papa Louie’s lucky cat statue. The next day, after a dismal opening day for the restaurant, Papa Louie leaves to find a new lucky cat, entrusting the player with running Papa’s Sushiria to pay off the debt for the broken statue.

A round of Papa’s Sushiria involves several stages to fulfill customer orders. Players begin by taking orders at the Order Station. Next, at the Cook Station, they prepare the rice, which includes cooking it until fluffy and adding vinegar. The Build Station is where players select fillings like salmon, cucumber, Philadelphia cheese, or avocado, and roll them in nori seaweed and rice. Sometimes, the roll needs to be flipped so the rice is on the outside before being sliced into pieces. Finally, at the Tea Station, players prepare bubble tea to accompany the sushi. The goal is to cook carefully and accurately, as customer satisfaction directly impacts the tips received. As the game progresses, orders become more complex, and the number of visitors increases, challenging the player’s multitasking and precision skills.

The money earned from tips can be used to renovate the establishment and purchase new equipment and decorative items. Upgrades to equipment can make food preparation easier and faster, while decorative items like tables and posters can improve customer waiting times. After each day’s shift, players get three chances to play various mini-games, such as Papa’s Derby, to earn rewards that assist in the game. The game features over 145 unlockable menu items, 106 customers, and 40 unique Special Recipes. Players can also earn colorful stickers by completing tasks, which can unlock new outfits for customers. The game progresses through 4 seasons and 12 holidays, each introducing new seasonal ingredients.
