Galaga ’88 is a fixed-space shooter developed and released by Namco in 1987 as the official sequel to the classic Galaga. Players once again pilot their starfighter against waves of alien enemies in deep space, but this time with enhanced graphics, sound, and new gameplay mechanics.

The game expands on the original formula with multi-stage levels, bonus rounds, and new enemy formations that challenge both reflexes and strategy. Players can combine two or even three fighters to create a more powerful ship, increasing firepower and scoring potential.
