Tommy Vercetti’s rise through Vice City

Tommy arrives in Vice City to handle a drug deal for the Forelli family. The deal is ambushed, leaving him without the money or the merchandise. Finding the people responsible pulls him into conflicts with dealer Ricardo Diaz, lawyer Ken Rosenberg, and Lance Vance.

Story missions mix driving, shootouts, chases, robberies, and vehicle-based jobs. You can also leave the main route to explore, collect weapons, find hidden packages, buy properties, or cause enough trouble to attract the police.

Properties become important later in the story. Several businesses have their own asset missions, and completing them creates new income sources. If the next main mission doesn’t appear, check the map for unfinished property work.

Surviving the city

Save at a safehouse before spending money on weapons or starting a difficult mission. A failed attempt can cost you your current gear, so keeping a recent save cuts down on repeated setup.

Pay ’n’ Spray garages can repaint a suitable vehicle and remove a wanted level when the police don’t see you enter. During chases, switching cars and breaking the officers’ line of sight is often safer than trying to fight everyone.
