Drop Planets

Drop Planets is a puzzle game where players merge celestial bodies in a cosmic setting. The objective is to strategically drop planets onto matching ones to combine them into larger “super-planets.” The game features a variety of planets that evolve into bigger, more advanced celestial bodies as they merge, eventually forming suns and black holes.

A round of Drop Planets involves carefully dropping planets into a playing field. Players must plan their drops to create chain reactions and merge multiple planets, which can lead to combo bonuses. The challenge intensifies as the playing area fills, and players must keep the planets below a designated “danger line” to prevent the entire galaxy from collapsing, which results in a game over.

The game offers various modes, including normal, vanilla, and chaos modes, providing different levels of challenge and gameplay experiences. Players can utilize power-ups, such as a black hole that clears the playing space (though it halves points and is a one-time use per game), or lightning that destroys any planet it strikes. There are also abilities like swapping upcoming planets and shaking the game area to resettle planets. Drop Planets features an online leaderboard for players to compete for high scores.
