Shock Troopers: 2nd Squad is a run-and-gun action game released by SNK in 1998. The story follows a team of four elite mercenaries sent to stop DIO, a powerful terrorist organization led by Nakatomi. After launching a violent coup and devastating entire cities, DIO threatens world governments with a secret weapon of mass destruction and demands global submission.
With only 72 hours to prevent a worldwide catastrophe, the Shock Troopers fight through enemy forces across military bases, cities, and war zones. Along the way, they battle heavily armed troops, advanced vehicles, and powerful bosses while uncovering the true extent of DIO’s plans. Their mission culminates in a final assault against Nakatomi and his secret superweapon to save the world from chaos and war.
