Karateka is a classic martial arts action game in which the player takes the role of a skilled karate fighter on a dangerous mission to rescue Princess Mariko from the evil warlord Akuma.
The Atari ST version is an enhanced remake of the original game, featuring updated graphics and presentation that take advantage of the system’s improved hardware.
The player must fight a series of increasingly difficult enemies using punches, kicks, and careful timing. Karateka is known for its cinematic animation, simple but strategic combat, and dramatic atmosphere.
