Command & Conquer: Red Alert is a real-time strategy (RTS) game developed by Westwood Studios and originally released for MS-DOS and Windows in 1996. It serves as a prequel to the original Command & Conquer and takes place in an alternate timeline where Albert Einstein travels back in time to eliminate Adolf Hitler, preventing World War II—but instead triggering a massive conflict between the Allied Forces and the Soviet Union.

Players choose a side—Allies or Soviets—and build bases, gather resources (ore), and command armies of tanks, infantry, ships, and aircraft to defeat the enemy. The game features classic RTS mechanics such as base construction, unit production, and strategic map control.
