About Police Quest I: In Pursuit of the Death Angel (VGA)

Platform: MS-DOS
Category: Adventure

A classic adventure game developed and published by Sierra On-Line in 1992. It’s a full VGA remake of the original 1987 title, bringing updated 256-color graphics, point-and-click mouse controls, and enhanced sound and music.

Players take on the role of Sonny Bonds, a dedicated police officer in the fictional city of Lytton, California. The game emphasizes authentic police procedure, as players investigate crimes, perform traffic stops, and eventually go undercover to track down a dangerous drug dealer known as “The Death Angel.”

Unlike many adventure games of its time, Police Quest focuses on realism and accuracy, requiring players to follow correct law enforcement protocols—failure to do so often results in dire consequences.

The VGA remake retains the original story and spirit but updates the presentation and interface, making it more accessible and visually appealing to a new generation of players.
