The game allows players to take control of one of the 24 national teams that participated in the World Cup. Before matches, players can choose formations, adjust lineups, and review player statistics. Matches are played from a top-down perspective, with an emphasis on passing, tackling, and tactical play.

The “Winners Edition” was a special updated version released after the tournament ended. It included the actual World Cup results, final standings, and updated team information, giving players the chance to replay the competition as it really happened.
