Cannon Spike

Cannon Spike" is an arcade multi-directional shooter that was ported to the Sega Dreamcast, featuring fast-paced, overhead-view gameplay similar to "Smash T.V.". Set in the year 20XX, players join the Anti-Robot Special Forces, equipped with "Motor Boots" for enhanced mobility, to combat a global robot menace. The game offers a roster of seven playable characters, including well-known Capcom figures like Mega Man, Arthur from "Ghosts 'n Goblins," Cammy and Charlie from "Street Fighter," and B.B. Hood from "Darkstalkers," alongside original characters Shiba and Simone. Each character possesses a unique set of attacks, consisting of a regular ranged shot, a powerful ranged attack, a standard melee strike, and a powerful melee attack, in addition to special moves and a super special that requires a token. A notable gameplay mechanic is the lock-on system, allowing players to strafe while targeting enemies, which is crucial for navigating the intense battles against hordes of foes and large bosses.
