Hexxagon II is a turn-based strategy board game for DOS, released as a sequel to the popular Hexxagon. The game is played on a hexagonal grid where two players (human vs. human or human vs. computer) compete to dominate the board.
Each turn, a player moves a piece either by duplicating it into an adjacent empty cell or by jumping to a cell two spaces away. When a piece is placed, all of the opponent’s pieces directly adjacent to it are converted into the player’s own color.
The goal is to control the majority of the board when no more moves are possible. With its simple rules but highly tactical gameplay, Hexxagon II is both easy to learn and challenging to master.
The game features improved graphics and sound compared to the original, multiple difficulty levels for AI opponents, and highly replayable matches thanks to the dynamic nature of the hex-based board.
