Players guide their chosen character down winding slides, aiming to be the first to reach the pool at the bottom.

A round of Aquapark.io involves navigating serpent-like slides that rise over hills and descend down slopes. The primary goal is to reach the final pool before other participants. Players can strategically fly off the track to land on lower levels, potentially gaining an advantage, but risk falling into the sea. Along the way, players can collect blocks with a "?" for various bonuses and gather diamonds. The game features obstacles and roadblocks that slow players down, while avoiding them can provide a speed boost. Players can also bump rivals off the slide to eliminate them from the race. As players win races, new and more intense levels unlock, introducing sharper turns, more obstacles, and risky shortcuts.

The game offers both single-player and multiplayer modes, allowing up to four players to compete on one screen. Players can unlock new character skins, floaties, and gliders, with options ranging from animals to legendary designs.
