Duck Hunt is a classic light gun shooter video game developed and published by Nintendo in 1984 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The game uses the NES Zapper, a light gun controller, allowing players to aim at and shoot ducks that appear on the screen.

In the main mode, one or two ducks fly across the screen, and the player must shoot them before they escape. If the player successfully shoots enough ducks, they advance to higher levels with increased difficulty, such as faster movement or smaller targets. If too many ducks escape, the game ends.

One of the most memorable aspects of the game is the laughing dog that appears when the player misses, adding a humorous (and sometimes frustrating) touch. Duck Hunt became one of the most iconic early video games and is often remembered for its simple gameplay and innovative use of motion-based shooting technology at the time.
